UAB “DEKRA Industrial” provides destructive and non-destructive testing services for metals in both the nuclear and energy industries, as well as inspection and calibration services for metal testing equipment and instruments.
The personnel performing inspections have been trained in companies in Sweden, Great Britain, the USA, Canada, and Denmark, and hold relevant certificates.
The company headquarters is located in the city of Visaginas (north-eastern part of Lithuania).
Our History
1985 – Establishment of the Metal and Technical Inspection Department (MTID) within the structure of the Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant. Fields of Activity
- organization and execution of operational and incoming inspection of equipment and pipeline metals;
- determination of the causes of defects and the nature of damage in welded joints and metal products;
- inspection during the manufacturing of metal products, equipment, and pipelines;
- inspection during the certification of welders and welding procedures.
2006 – MTID accredited as a testing laboratory in accordance with the requirements of the LST EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005 standard.
2008 – UAB “AF Inspection LT” established on the basis of MTID. Equipment and instruments used for inspections at INPP were acquired. 2010 – The company name changed to UAB “DEKRA Industrial” due to a change of ownership.
2010 – A department for the inspection and calibration of instruments and metal testing equipment was established. The company was accredited according to the requirements of the LST EN ISO/IEC 17020:2012 and LST EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005 standards.
2011 – A production division was established in the city of Mažeikiai. Currently, UAB “DEKRA Industrial” provides destructive and non-destructive metal testing services, as well as verification and calibration services for metal testing instruments, to companies in Lithuania, Latvia, Finland, and Sweden.
