Destructive testing

JSC DEKRA Industrial has a long-time experience in destructive testing of metallic products especially in power generation area.

Following services with the help of Destruction testing can be provided by DEKRA Industrial:

  • determination of metal mechanical and chemical characteristics;
  • verification the quality welded joints and other metallic products;
  • determination of causes of the damage of the welds and parent material of the pipe works, equipment or other constructions;
  • determination of the quality of welded joints during the certification of welders and welding procedures.

Mechanical tests

We are accredited to perform the following tests:

  • Determination of mechanical properties of metals by means of the tensile test at the temperature t=(+23°C to 365°C)±5°C, according to the standards: LST EN ISO 6892-1:2016, LST EN ISO 6892-2:2011, LST EN ISO 5178:2011, GOST 9651-84, GOST 1497-94:
    • tensile strength (Rm);
    • lower yield strength (ReL);
    • upper yield strength (ReH);
    • proof strength (Rp);
    • percentage elogation after fracture (A);
    • percentage reduction of area (Z);
  • Welded joints tensile strength determination acoording to the standards: LST EN ISO 4136:2013, GOST 6996-66.
